Paper Academy + Book Fair

We encourage art schools and publishers of photobooks to attend the events we organize as part of the Paper Photo Festival: ramach Paper Photo Festival:

Paper Academy is a showcase of artistic photography publications created at art schools and programs, presented as a separate exhibition during the Paper Photo Festival (September 18–20, 2026). Seven Polish schools participated in the 2025 edition; this year, we aim to increase that number and expand the presentation to include foreign universities.

We invite faculty members, universities, and art schools to submit presentations of books, zines, and photographic mockups created by students. To submit an entry, please, by September 10:

  • send an email to kuba@paperphoto.pl with your application and a list of publications (including authors’ names) that your institution wishes to present,
  • after receiving email confirmation, send the publications to the following address: Zamek Sielecki, ul. Zamkowa 2, 41-211 Sosnowiec, POLAND (with “Paper Academy” written on the package).
If you need to provide contact information for the courier, please use: Paweł Pytel, email: pawel@paperphoto.pl, phone: (+48) 664-910-141

We will provide each university with a space for presentation (on tables), as well as volunteers to oversee the entire exhibition (however, we are not responsible for any damage to or loss of publications).

We also invite you to participate in the festival in person. However, we do not reimburse travel, accommodation, or transportation expenses. All publications will be returned to the submitters within 14 days of the festival’s conclusion.

If you have any questions, please contact us at: kuba@paperphoto.pl

We invite publishers to express their interest in setting up a booth at the photography publications fair, which is part of the Paper Photo Festival (September 18–20, 2026).

We provide: a table, 1–2 chairs, and access to electricity.
We do not provide lodging, meals, etc., but we also do NOT charge a fee to participate in the fair!

Additionally, paid portfolio consultations will be held throughout the day on September 18—publishers may express interest in hosting a mentoring session (and the proceeds will be given directly to the publisher to help cover the costs of their trip).

Note: We can organize author meet-and-greets and book launches on September 19–20, but we do not provide compensation for these events!

A separate room will be set aside for the fair, which you’ll need to pass through to enter the exhibition area. If there are a large number of applicants, applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis!

For self-publishers: we’ll provide tables so you can sell your publications together (these will be shared tables). Please also fill out the form above.
