Wojciech Plewiński, an outstanding photographer, is preparing an exhibition while traveling in the footsteps of his own work. He is accompanied by his wife Anna, his son Maciek, and curator Katarzyna Sagatowska. The journey to places such as the Stary Teatr in Kraków, the Teatr Studio in Warsaw, Nowa Huta, Kalatówki, the Rożnów Reservoir, and the Biebrza National Park serves as a pretext for reminiscing, analyzing his body of work, and confronting the past. Despite his advanced age, the artist impresses with his agility and sense of humor.
These family trips, however, are not just about nostalgia but also a time for difficult reckonings. Wojciech admits to having neglected his family. Yet the time spent with his loved ones allows him to rebuild their closeness. The success of the opening confirms that Plewiński’s work continues to delight successive generations. This is a warm portrait of an artist who, with unwavering passion and his loved ones by his side, observes and comments on the world.
